De Koning left Saturday's 89-75 loss to GWS at Marvel Stadium due to concussion concerns, ESPN reports.
ANALYSIS
De Koning was taken from the field on a stretcher after knocking his head on the ground during a late marking contest. Carlton head coach David Teague noted after the game that his ruck was concussed, but feeling okay. DeKoning closed out the match with 10 disposals, five tackles, four marks, three clearances and a game-high 32 hitouts to his name.

ANALYSIS
De Konig set or tied season-highs for kicks (10), handballs (5), marks, clearances and inside 50s versus Geelong and, in doing so, put together his best statistical performance of the year. His 91 points on the day also represented the ruck's top fantasy output for 2021 and sees the 21 year-old now averaging 59.14 points a game, 17th-best among all Blues players.

ANALYSIS
De Kooning could play at either the AFL or VFL level this weekend while making his first appearance of the season. If at the AFL level, he'll still be second-fiddle behind Marc Pittonet in the ruck role.
