Instant knockout victory

Ulberg defeated Alonzo Menifield via KO (punches) at 0:12 of Round 1 at UFC Fight Night on Saturday in St. Louis.
ANALYSIS
We've seen enough from Ulberg to know he's a supremely talented fighter and doesn't need this type of help from his opponent to emerge victorious. He'll take it, of course. Menifield decided to blitz Ulberg the second the opening bell rang with a few wild shots. Carlos avoided the damage and pummeled his opponent with return fire, resulting in what was a perfectly justified stoppage from rarely-seen referee Nick Berens. The quick finish would go on to earn Ulberg one of two $50,000 Performance of the Night victories rewarded on the evening. Ulberg's secondary skills are still questionable, but his striking abilities are high-end. The Kiwi has won a half-dozen in a row on the heels of a knockout loss in his UFC debut back in March 2021.

Picks up fifth straight win
Light HeavyweightUFC
September 9, 2023
Ulberg defeated Da Woon Jung via submission (rear-naked choke) at 4:49 of Round 3 at UFC 293 on Saturday in Sydney, Australia.
ANALYSIS
It was another stellar performance from Ulberg in what would end up being his fifth straight win and his fourth in a row via stoppage. Blessed with a massive power and speed edge over his opponent, Ulberg hammered Jung on the feet, with a Round 2 knockdown being the biggest moment of the fight. With Carlos seemingly tiring in the closing minute, he managed to force Jung to the mat and choke him out, although it took looking at replay after the final bell rang before referee Herb Dean realized it. The 32-year-old Kiwi is due a bump up in competition in his next time out.
Taking on Jung
Light HeavyweightUFC
June 11, 2023
Ulberg will fight Da Woon Jung in a light heavyweight fight at a UFC event on September 9, Marcel Dorff of Eurosport.nl reports.
ANALYSIS
Ulberg's next chance to extend his four-fight win streak comes at the hands of Jung. The two fighters stand at the same 6-foot-4 height, though Jung sports a one-inch reach advantage. Ulberg lands 8.13 significant strikes per minute, much higher than Jung's 3.39. Jung will likely try and take the fight to the ground instead of boxing with Ulberg.
