FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

FanDuel NBA: Friday Value Plays

This article is part of our FanDuel NBA series.

Emmanuel Mudiay, $3,800, Jamal Murray ($4,300) DEN vs NOJameer Nelson is listed as doubtful tonight and his absence has more of an effect on Mudiay's playing time. However, both will facilitate the offense at times tonight and are perfect punt plays. Over the last two games that Nelson missed, Mudiay played 29 and 32 minutes, finishing with 24.5 and 35.3 points. This is a good matchup against the Pelicans, who have given up the fifth most fantasy points to opposing point guards.

Tyler Ennis, LAL vs SAC ($3,800) – Both Jordan Clarkson and D'Angelo Russell are listed as questionable tonight, and there's really no reason for either to play. If one or both are ruled out, Ennis would be in line for heavy minutes after playing 39 on Wednesday. Ennis finished that game with 31 fantasy points and has a good matchup against the Kings, as they've given up over 50 fantasy points to opposing point guards over the last 10 games.

Kentavious Caldwell-Pope, DET at HOU ($4,300) – It's been an interesting week for KCP, who was arrested after a game and then welcomed a child into the world. He traveled with the team to Houston and should be in line for a full complement of minutes. James Harden has never been known as an elite defender, and the Rockets have given up the second most fantasy points to shooting guards over their last 10 games.

Jonathon Simmons, SA at DAL ($3,500) – Everyone active for the Spurs tonight is in play, as they're resting most of their key players. Simmons, Patty Mills and Kyle Anderson will likely shoulder most of the offense tonight with a little Davis Bertans mixed in. Simmons has over 15 fantasy points in each of his last three games while playing in a lesser role than he will Friday.

Taurean Prince, ATL at CLE ($4,200) – Despite Paul Millsap returning to duty, Prince has remained with the starting five and Millsap will sit out tonight for the second of a back-to-back set. This season, the Cavaliers have given up the fifth most fantasy points to opposing small forwards, and Prince is coming off a nice shooting game Thursday. Also, Prince has played over 35 minutes in each of the last four games, averaging 27.7 fantasy points or more three times.

Willie Cauley-Stein, SAC at LAL ($6,300) – Cauley-Stein is finishing the season on a strong note, scoring over 28 fantasy points in five of his last six. The Lakers have given up the most fantasy points to power forwards and the second most fantasy to centers. Cauley-Stein's minutes should be safely over 30 and — as long as he stays out of foul trouble — he should have no problem getting to 5X value.

Boban Marjanovic, DET at HOU ($3,600) – Stan Van Gundy has stated that Boban will enter the rotation for the last four games of the season, and he was able to produce in limited time when given the chance last year. Houston plays an uptempo style and has given up the third most fantasy points to opposing centers this season. Don't risk Boban in cash games, but he's an interesting punt option for GPPs.

Nene Hilario, HOU vs DET ($4,700) – Hilario always seems to go under the radar despite showing good consistency at getting over 5X value. He's done that in five of his last six games, scoring at least 24.8 fantasy points, and — with Clint Capela starting — he won't have to match up much with Andre Drummond. Just make sure he isn't ruled out prior to tipoff, a move that would help Montrezl Harrell.
