The New York Knicks defeated the host Philadelphia 76ers, 118-115, in Game 6 of the Eastern Conference First-Round Playoffs at Wells Fargo Center on Thursday evening. The Knicks earned their fourth win of the series and will advance to the conference semi finals. They jumped out to a great start in the road win as they rallied to a, 36-22, lead after one quarter. The 76ers responded in the second and outscored the visitors, 32-15, to claim a three-point edge at the break. Both sides came out strong in the third while the Knicks trailed through the entire quarter before tying it up at 83, heading into the final frame. The visitors pulled ahead early in the fourth and despite a late push by the Sixers, the Knicks held on to close out the series-clinching win. Jalen Brunson led the way for the Knicks with 41 points, three rebounds and 12 assists, in 44 minutes. Donte DiVincenzo followed up with 23 points, four rebounds, seven assists, two steals and three blocks, while Josh Hart logged 16 points, 14 rebounds and seven assists. Meanwhile, Joel Embiid led the 76ers with 39 points, 13 rebounds, two assists, a steal and a block, in 40 minutes. Buddy Hield followed up with 20 points and four rebounds, while Kelly Oubre and Tyrese Maxey added 17 points each. The Knicks look ahead to a matchup with the Indiana Pacers in the Eastern Conference Semi Finals, beginning on Monday.
